About
History
MCHL was originally formed as an off-season women’s group by Laura Mitchell. Because numbers were slightly too low to be viable, she opened participation to men. The deal was individual men had to be approved/accepted by the women. David Patton became the organizer. Original Ice Rinks included MIA, and Hartmeyer.
2002-2011 Ryan Sopha was the League Commissioner, and the league landed in McFarland.
In 2012 -2014 - Charles Timmons was the MCHL Commissioner
In 2014- Josh Fassl and Jon Beglinger took over "co-commissioner" roles. The league still has a few "original" members, and many new skaters of varying abilities. It is our current goal to provide a competitive game of hockey allowing players of many skill levels access.
